My mission as an artist is to develop an art experience to share with all ages: children battling cancer and other illnesses, older people in care facilities or battling dementia. I am a physician and a self taught artist. The style of my art is tactile, and dimensional. Sometimes the thick paint stands off the canvas by an inch! Or the watercolor drips and runs with a lively expression of joy. These paintings are about sharing joy. I hope you enjoy them also.

Heavy impasto palette knife acrylic painting, drips of watercolor on paper, or luminous hand painted silk.
These pieces are tactile; dimensional. Even those with poor sight or limited dexterity can enjoy this process of painting. I use simple tools: sponges, plastic knives, palette knives, brushes and fingertips. I sometimes add pieces of dried paint (paint skins) to add dimension.
I am a Doctor of Internal Medicine, and I dabble in art. I want to combine my skills to bring the healing, sometimes meditative, sometimes exhilarating process of maneuvering paint to as many people as possible with the in-person Creative Ages Art Experience.
